As scleral lens usage increases, eye care professionals should be educated as to the ocular surface anomalies seen in patients who potentially benefit from these contact lenses. In addition, terminology tends to vary across the world when describing the nomenclature of these special lenses. This course will discuss the terminology associated with scleral lens indications, nomenclature, complications and the surface on which they rest and / or protect.
