This course is designed to help the learner to understand the complexities of lenses designed for high plus and minus prescriptions. Discussion will include the effects of magnification, optical aberrations, thickness, aniseikonia, the selection of base curves, corrected curve theory, aspheric & atoric surfaces, hyperaspherics, myodisks and the evolution of lens design.
