As the primary eye care provider, optometrists play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment and education of patients with cataracts. Each year, there are over 4 million cataract surgeries performed in the United States. With the increase in surgery, there are greater patient expectations and patients demand great outcomes. In order to meet these needs, collaboration for surgical patients will be key.
