In this lecture, new glaucoma devices will be described. Devices to be discussed included advances to optical coherence tomography, retinal cameras, IOP measuring devices, and combined tools to assess structure and function. Also the pathophysiology of why glaucoma develops and how the optic nerve becomes damaged will be described. The role of blood pressure and glaucoma development will be described and why it is important for blood pressure should be monitored. The concept of perfusion pressure and its importance on glaucoma explained.
