The course covers the optometrist's role in cataract surgery. It covers the necessary pre-operative testing and evaluation, along with clinical conditions that can complicate cataract surgery. Current intra-operative surgical techniques and technology will be reviewed. The course also covers the post-operative evaluation. This includes what to expect in routine care and surgical complications. Diagnosing and treatment options for post-operative complications are covered in this course.
