Standard visual examination relies almost exclusively on visual acuity measurements with maximal black on white contrast. Vision care can be improved by acknowledging and quantifying our experience in the chromatic world. In this talk we will cover methods used for assessing color vision function and describe changes in color vision that are commonly found in diseases affecting the central vision.
