Clinical Approaches To Spectacle and Contact Lens Formulas

In this course you will develop a level of comfort in the practical use of optical formulas in your everyday office as they apply to the design of both prescription spectacles and contact lenses. Formulas will include transposition, refractive error, power in any meridian, prism calculations, predicting lens thickness, and vertex distance compensation. Contact lens related formulas and concepts include orientation of astigmatism, calculating the spherical equivalent prescription, and prescription calculations for rigid lens designs.
