Dr. Karpecki received his doctor of optometry degree from Indiana University and completed a fellowship in cornea in Kansas City, in affiliation with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He currently serves as Director of Cornea Services for Kentucky Eye Institute in Lexington and for Gaddie Eye Centers in Louisville. In 2017 he completed a full year preceptorship in advanced retinal disease at Retina Associates of Kentucky. He also serves as an Associate Professor at the Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville and is the Medical Director for Kepler Vision. Dr. Karpecki was appointed to the Delphi International Society, which included the top 25 dry eye experts in the world. He co-chaired the Dry Eye Summit for the profession, was selected to the TFOS DEWS II Diagnostic Methodology sub-committee and appointed co-chair for both TFOS Symposia. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Editor for Review of Optometry.
