Dr. Lech graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry after earning his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. Upon graduation, he practiced hospital-based eye care at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, as a recipient of the Navy's Health Professions Scholarship Program (1999-2001). While on active duty he served as Director of the hospital's Optometry Clinic and for Specialty Contact Lens Services and provided clinical instruction for the Ophthalmology Residency Program. In 2004, he relocated to northern California with his wife and son (now three sons and a daughter) to venture into private practice, opening ClearVue Eye Care of Roseville in June of that year. Over the past eight years, he has transformed a traditional, refractive based optometry practice into a comprehensive, medical office regularly seeing over 65% medical visits. Dr. Lech has lectured and provided consulting services on the subject of medically based optometric care for a variety of organizations. He enjoys the challenges and opportunities that come with practicing full-scope optometry in California. Dr. Lech considers himself most passionate about international medical missions with a focus on sustainability and innovated delivery concepts. Annual and semi-annual trips are planned using his practice and industry partnerships.
