About

Dr. Caroline Guerrero Cauchi graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and has been in private practice since 1982. She is the managing partner of Vision Solutions in La Mesa California – a suburb of San Diego. The practice concentrates on specialty lenses including orthokeratology, myopia control, scleral lenses and topographically-designed RGPs. In 2006 she attained her fellowship in the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control (IAOMC). In 2008 she was invited to join the Board of Directors for the IAOMC as well as the American Academy (AAOMC). She sits on the Executive Committee for the IAOMC and is the Chair of the Fellowship committee for both organizations. She also sits on the Education committee and was responsible for developing the very popular "Bootcamp for Newcomers" program. In this role, she lectures nationally and internationally on all topics of myopia control. Dr. Guerrero Cauchi also spends time serving as a mentor and role model for young women of all ages – particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many have gone on to become optometrists or other health professionals. In her spare time she enjoys working on her property located in the mountains outside of San Diego, playing with her 2 rescue German Shepherds, working out and staying fit and traveling to unusual eco-locations with her husband.
