Hervé Sedky
Hervé Sedky

President, Americas, Reed Exhibitions

Hervé Sedky oversees a business that curates more than 100 sector-leading exhibitions and events in North and South America each year, from the motor show in São Paolo to the jewelry show in Las Vegas and the cutting edge culture series from the ReedPOP group. He serves as a member of the company’s Worldwide Board.

Hervé is a results-oriented leader who develops, grows and transforms global businesses while driving profits. His distinguished 20-year executive career at the American Express Company culminated in service as Senior Vice President and General Manager of American Express Business Travel, in which he guided the growth of a $1billion revenue business and served on American Express’ senior management team. As a solo entrepreneur backed by private equity, he took an active role in investing and advising travel related companies and hotels worldwide.

His business profile is complemented by a profound commitment to community development and the nonprofit sector. Hervé serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Children's Health Fund, on the board of WINiT, a CGI-member organization, and a board member of the French Cultural Center/Alliance Française.

Joanne Mohr
Joanne Mohr

Event Director

Joanne brings over 25 years of tradeshow experience to the Vision Expo team, including an expertise in fashion and retail. Most recently, Mohr served as Executive Vice President of ENK International, orchestrating a series of trade exhibitions that included nearly 10,000 design companies in New York City and Las Vegas and attracted 250,000 global buyers and press annually.

Melissa Ashley
Melissa Ashley

Senior Vice President, Reed Exhibitions

Melissa Ashley joined Reed Exhibitions in September of 2015 as Senior Vice President. She oversees a diverse portfolio of events that includes both mature shows such as the National Hardware Show and Vision Expo as well as launches. Melissa's most recent position was as VP Events, Cross Platform Businesses at Bloomberg BNA. As part of a 3 person leadership team tasked with building out new revenue streams across a number of Bloomberg verticals, Melissa oversaw product development, operations, sales and audience development. She led teams responsible for conceptualizing and producing both editorial driven events as well as custom programs for large corporations such as VISA, Boeing, GE and Qualcomm.

Prior to Bloomberg BNA, Melissa was part of the leadership team at IIR USA, a subsidiary of the Institute for International research, the events division of Informa plc (London, UK). As a Managing Director at IIR USA, she spent over nine years overseeing the sponsorship and exhibition sales teams, developing new products, evaluating new business opportunities on a global basis and implementing acquisitions. Under her leadership, profitable events were curated in diverse markets from Grand Cayman to Dubai.
Before IIR, Melissa spent three years in leadership roles at DoubleClick Media. As part of the executive team, she was instrumental in orchestrating the merger between DoubleClick Media and L90.
Prior to joining DoubleClick, Melissa spent over three years managing U.S. media programs at NBA Properties where her responsibilities ranged from developing and selling-in cross platform media programs for national advertisers to being part of the launch team for nba.com.
Earlier in her career she held several positions in advertising at New York ad agencies.
Melissa graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University. She currently resides in Rye Brook, NY with her daughter.

Chief Executive Officer, The Vision Council

Ashley works closely with Reed Exhibitions and The Vision Council's Show and Exhibitor Advisory Committees to establish and direct the long range strategic goals and objectives of the International Vision Expo family of tradeshows. With a background in public relations, consulting, and consumer marketing – Ashley most recently served as the Director of Communications for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.

Mitchell Barkley
Mitchell Barkley

Vice President of Trade Shows, The Vision Council

As The Vision Council's Vice President of Trade Shows, Mitch brings 28 years of optical industry experience to his role at The Vision Council as well as a great understanding of the dynamics influencing both the domestic and global frame markets. Previous experience includes CEO of Mondottica USA and CEO of Viva international group. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Mitch enjoys following Terps basketball as well as skiing and playing Bocce.
